  The rates are higher than your local credit union and if you want to pay extra towards principal you have to call them every month otherwise they just lower your next months payment.

  Problems do not buy, i recently purchased a Chevy equinox and the timing chain broke destroying the master cylinder, GM knows about this problem and rather than recalling the problem a repair kit for the timing chain was made. GM acknowledges the problem by the repair kit, now i must have a costly repair made for a factory defect. This is a con job and i will never buy another chevy again, i called GM to help with the problem and never got a response, i soon plan on acting further, anyone else with this timing chain problem please contact me as a recall should be made. I currently own the vehicle and it is now paid off, there is only 68,000 miles on the vehicle and i have an open claim with gm noone has returned my call, i have been waiting a week for a supervisor to contact me and noone has yet. I will remove my review and give a better review should you decide to make this right. I am waiting for Trina i believe her name is to contact me and maybe now she will. I have been a lifelong customer of chevy gm and am very upset about this. I love chevy and planned on buying a brand new Camaro in spring next year, now i am having second thoughts can you blame me.
