  I will NEVER use Go Mortgage for my mortgage needs in the future. I gave them 1 star because I didn’t have an option to give them anything less. The only reason I used them for my construction loan is because my employer does not do construction to permanent financing. My 1st complaint is the $25,000 closing cost ( not including escrows), Rory Anderson (MLO) said that was standard with this type of financing. I have never seen closing costs exceed $20,000 without including Taxes and Insurance. Secondly I live in Denton county Texas and the builder Pratt Homes is located in Tyler Texas which is over 100 miles away from my property. Rory ordered an appraisal from an appraiser in Tyler Texas when there are plenty of appraisers located in the county I live. My appraisal fee was $1500 because of the distance the appraiser had to drive. Rory finally ordered an appraisal from a local company and by that time my initial lock had expired and I was charged over $1000 to extent my lock. Thirdly, the lenders preferred title company rejected the title order so I had to ask my friend if he could complete the title work. This cost me another lock extension over $700. During the whole mortgage process, I asked if there will be any draws during the construction phase and I was advised no, because the builder is set up to not request draws. Low and behold, 1 month after closing, I get a mortgage statement from Go Mortgage with a $25000 draw. I contacted Rory and asked him to explain because the builder did not request any draws and his response was IT WAS AN INITIAL DRAW after closing. My response was, I thought there was no draws and he never responded. I left a bad review on their survey and received an e-mail requesting my information for a conference call. I gave replied to the email they sent me and they blocked me. Wth??? This has been my worse experience purchasing a home. Me, as an underwriter feels defeated and mislead. Beware if you use Go Mortgage, you will be overcharged and will be told anything to get the loan closed. Interest rates are steadily increasing and one day soon they will be slow and I hope they will start treating their customers better than the way I was treated.
