  My wife and I were looking to take advantage of the historically low rates to refinance two properties. Was recommended to use GSF Mortgage Corporation via word of mouth, and I have got to say they were great. Timely service, willing to process loan and worked quickly (compared to large banks, and local credit unions), and delivered two refi's in just over a one month time frame. Great experience and easy to use app as well to walk you through the needed steps/process. Thank you to our Loan Officer Sandy! We really appreciated working with you and taking care of our needs!   EDIT/UPDATE: The COO called me directly and assures me, again, that the issue will be resolved. She cited weather problems and staffing shortages in TX as the continued delay in resolving my specific issue. While I can understand that the current situation over the past few days could be weather-impacted, the issue has been going on for longer than just recent storms. I am hopeful that this will be resolved, but because I have been told multiple times in the past that the issue was already being resolved, I will have to wait and see how this pans out. I am updating the rating from 1 star to 3 stars because the COO did personally make contact, today. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We refinanced our mortgage in November/December 2020 and the refinanced loan was sold to/purchased by GSF Mortgage. We have had nothing but problems. For starters, there was apparently some sort of a delay in switching over the mortgage from the refinancing agency to GSF, the result of this is that we were to pay our first month of mortgage due to the company who refinanced our loan; which we did - in full and early. Therefore, our January 1 payment was paid on time. When the loan was officially sold/purchased, however, GSF brought our mortgage in showing the January 1 payment was past due; no payment recorded. It is now 2/17 and that issue STILL HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. I have called in multiple times, only to be forwarded directly to their collections department who is unable to provide any answers or support. I have waited on hold multiple times (45 minutes +) for a customer service rep, but nobody ever answers the phone. I've called and left messages with GSF's COO, she returned my call 1 time stating that the issue was resolved. I haven't heard back from her from any of the other voicemails I've left with her, and no, my issue still isn't resolved. I've called the corporate HQ and gotten in contact with a mortgage specialist who has at least been a live person that answered the phone. Unfortunately, he has assured me multiple times that the issue with my payment will be resolved, but yet, here we are and the issue is NOT getting resolved. I will now have to refinance our loan, again, just to get away from the terrible support we've received from this mortgage company. I am not sure who else to contact to get our issue resolved, but I am extremely frustrated by the inability to get our mortgage situation resolved so we can, simply, pay our mortgage!

  Do not use them!!! I'm sure they have great employees unfortunately the loan officer I got wasn't one of them. She lied, and discriminated against my husband (who is a disabled veteran) and I and kept blaming the VA for the so called problems with our loan..she told me I had to close all my revolving credit lines prior to closing so I could be approved for the loan..so I did and my credit score dropped 30 points...come to find out I could have been left off the loan and just put on the deed to the house instead of losing my credit score I have worked sooo hard to build up. She also blamed the VA for a rate lock issue which I found out has nothing to do with the VA... so long story short we pulled our application from the company and switched lenders! 2 weeks and we are already approved! Hmm..strange... I am sure I will get a response to this review with a "I'm sry you had a bad experience with us we will try to do better!" I do not want a response from the company! Make it right instead! Pay my hundreds of dollars in storage fees for my whole house and cars that the delay has cost me! Pay for my extra bills while I am staying in my sister's RV with my 2 kids and husband and dog and cat in the middle of the Michigan winter in her backyard! Pay for my 30 point credit score drop! All because of the incompetence of your company and the lack of communication. I was told that the loan officers cannot get personally involved with customers that we are files on their desks and it's normal to have 40 files at once on each and every loan officers desk. This is sad...I am a human being with a family...with 2 kids..NOT a file. I should matter to you as a company..I should matter to you because u are human too...but I don't. You as a company can do better...you chose as a company to not do better as long as you are making money...sad.
