      I recently had a difficult situation that I needed help with. I went to First Merit and John Alief and Sue Cowen were able to help me. They (especially Sue) went up and above my expectations and did an awesome job. These people are a huge asset to this company. I highly recommend this bank, all the employees here are wonderful.

      Deposited $400 cash. ATM errored out. Printed a receipt saying ATM error and could not return my cash. Talked to manager who counted the ATM cash and said it balanced so nothing she could do. 8-12 calls to the Corp office and treated like a liar. Not one person even bothered to look at the ledger or request it. Still out my $400. It’s a pretty bad feeling when you feel mistreated and out money. How does someone justify not looking at a ledger when the customer has a receipt in hand saying ATM couldn’t return cash or apply deposit error? I don’t need the $400, but I will voice my opinion on zero help, “your a liar” attitude. I own a company with 40 full time employees, 19 fleet cars and 3+ million in deposits. Guess where I’m never banking, ever?
