  There ATMs are so slow. Not working most of the time. But I love the app for my phone. And service is always great.

  My 14 year old son was excited to open a checking account until we went to this Huntington. The day before we called another branch and they explained that while they don’t have a youth account that my son can open a joint checking account with a parent. We walked in to this branch as it’s the closest to our home and we basically sent away. The teller was nice and asked an associate to help, she immediately stated she had an appointment in about 10 minutes. After that she explained to me that when they were TCF they had a youth account but my son could not have his own account with me as a co-signer until he is 16. So we left. After leaving this branch I called customer service. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone informed me that as long as my son is 13 or older he can open an account with a co-signer. I called the branch back to let them know that they were wrong and lost an account. Instead of listening to me and apologizing for the inconvenience and offering for us to come back in, the woman argued with me telling me she is very knowledgeable about Huntington and that I should expect our account to be closed. I don’t know if she was planning on closing our newly opened account or not. I ended up hanging up the phone. We ended up going to another Huntington branch where they were more than willing to help. They explained the same thing that the age for opening a joint account is 13. We got everything done right then and my son was so happy and proud that he now has his own account and debit card to go along with his new job. Unfortunately it seems this branch is stuck in the TCF era and may require more Huntington training to be up to par with the other branches in town that we know and love.
