When I had inherited [immediately after my birth] a small amount of money from a great-grandfather who I had never met, that money had been deposited into a newly-opened savings account at Ohio State Federal Savings and Loan. I still remember the tall building at the southwest corner of N. Third St. and Gay St. [in downtown Columbus] where Ohio State Federal's main office had been. Ohio State Federal later became Citizens Federal which later became Society Bank which later became KeyBank. I remember, at the Kingsdale branch of Society Bank, there had been a "Society Club" at the north end of the building where customers [mostly seniors, I recall] could hang out during the day and enjoy complimentary beverages [or at least coffee] and have access [I believe] to limited free photocopying. Several years ago, I decided to move my small savings account [in spite of my lifelong historical connection with KeyBank and its predecessors] to the same bank where my checking account and debit card have been for many years. I will always remember the friendly and helpful staff at KeyBank.

I normally go to the branch on 5th avenue, but stopped here while running errands to deposit some cash. I had an issue with the ATM, but the staff was very helpful in getting it fixed and getting my money into my account.
