      I decided to begin transitioning from my employer’s credit union, whom I liked, to LMCU. I did not make a mistake: LMCU has treated my partner and I like family. A bank visit sometimes feels like a cumbersome errand, but I’ve found the staff at this branch to be more than helpful.

      A five business day hold on a slightly larger check I wrote to myself from my other account, when I’ve been banking with them for years, personally and with two businesses. This is why I will stick with Mercantile Bank for my main business. EDIT: The bank's response is not helpful. This WAS in an person visit, with a request for waive on hold verification, which was denied.

      Hello. We apologize for the negative experience you have had with us! There is a daily deposit limit for deposits made on the LMCU mobile app. Each time you pull up the Mobile Deposit options on your App, it will display this information in a small pop up window. Next time when visiting one of our branches, our team would be happy to assist you in depositing in person and request a funds verification to see if a hold can be waived. We would also be happy to share information about the night deposit box.
