Worst company I ever had to get a mortgage from( my builder insisted on them). First it was lengthy process with tones of documentations for them and they get lost and then asking for it again and again. Not very knowledgeable loan processors, couldn't answer some common questions about my loan. Finally we get a loan and they imposed a PMI to our loan. Our down payment was just below the threshold but within a few months we requested to remove the PMI because we were way above the 80/20 ratio in value. Then they asked us to pay either $105 for an expert opinion for the value or $500 for full appraisal (because they didn't accept the appraisal that I got from an appraiser). I chose the $105 option and it has been over two months they still haven't gotten an answer on it. They should be reported to AG and Consumer protection agency. I don't know how they can operate a business like that. But they are very polite on the phone. I have refinanced and got new loans from many companies, never seen one like Loan Depot yet. Try others if you can.
