  Was trying to get some information today and every question was apparently an inconvenience to the woman on the phone lol. Deff won't use these guys! Update... I had a really nice woman contact me after my initial call and she gave me everything I was looking for and was really kind! So I went from one to 4 stars 😂

  My account number was changed 3 months ago during the holidays. I am 73 years old and have been I’ll with Covid and still am recovering. Because Columbia chose to change my account number, I had to try to remember all of my automatic payments, so I could try to notify them. I have 3 deposits every months from Social Security, State of California and the Department of Defense. It was a difficult task for me me to do all of the notifications of the account number change. I am a widow and have never experienced such a poorly timed change to take place. I have lung damage from Covid and was extremely stressed out because of Columbia Bank. I had been told that there would not be any more changes. In January I received a letter typed in very small print saying that Columbia Bank had bought Merchants Bank and would be changing their name to Columbia Bank. Approve 2 weeks later I received a blue booklet from Columbia that was written in even smaller print than the letter. Now it said my routing number was now going to be changed by March 14th. Well I just finished my taxes and forgot and cannot access my account online, because they changed my Username and do not have my email. This is a mess, because I need to notify again all of my automatic payments and the above government pension deposits. I have a Migraine and cannot reach anyone until at Columbia Bank until late Monday morning. This bank clearly does not care about their customers. This has been a messed up transition and would not advise anyone I know in Redding to bring their business here!

  If your ideal banking experience is not to watch an employee become flustered and overwhelmed when you ask her to perform a basic banking task, then this is not the branch for you. If your ideal banking experience does not involve ineptitude, followed by extreme attitude from the "manager", then this is not the branch for you. If your ideal banking experience involves several unanswered questions and a mismanagement of funds, then this is the branch for you!
