  Something is seriously wrong with the scheduling of service. I spent thirty minutes on the phone with these people. They were polite but extremely confused and confusing. I never got to schedule an appointment or talk to a mechanic. Update in 2022: I got my car serviced here. The actual technicians seem fine, but communication between all the different people who work there seems really confused. I got conflicting information from the technician, the service manager, and the person who wrote up my paperwork up front. I left my car there on a Tuesday. When I didn't hear from them after a few days, I called and got to talk to the service manager. He said that I should have received a list of things that needed to be fixed. I never received such a list. I asked how it had been sent: text or email? He didn't know. I think it was never sent. Also the technician who was working on my car did not have all the relevant information about which things needed to be done. I had to relay that information to him myself; for some reason, the service manager had not gotten back to him about that. The technician (Matt) who was actually fixing my car was the best at getting back to me about the status of my repair. He called me when the parts came in and told me when the car would probably be ready. But later, when I called the main number to find out if it was ready, the customer service person said that it was ready to pick up, and in fact it was not: it was not ready until the following day. A lot of confusion! Also, it is often difficult to get in touch with anybody in the service dept at Nashville Subaru. Calling first thing in the morning seems to be the best option.

  Sales side of Subaru was a great experience when we purchased our Outback in 2018. We have used the service side for oil changes and warranty related problems and our experience continues to be sub par. Most recently my wife scheduled a an appointment to have her infotainment system checked because it stopped working (no radio, maps etc). She called the service rep Vee in the morning to let her know she dropped it off and left the key in the drop box. My wife requested an oil change add on and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. She called at the end of the day to see if the car was ready and Vee told her she should just come by the service center in person because they were very busy and she would be able to get a better answer if she just showed up. After arriving, the maintenance sheet said the technician unplugged the infotainment amplifier and plugged it back it to fix the issue. Vee told my wife the amplifier was replaced. Although this was covered by warranty we still don't know if the amplifier was replaced. This is concerning as the infotainment console is a previous recall item and the volume knob continues to malfunction. Before explaining all of this to my wife, Vee started the conversation with "how would you rate your experience with me today?" I appreciate the need for customer feedback but maybe help the customer get a clear understanding of what is going on before you ask for feedback. Lastly, the oil was never changed. I suspect this request was never booked. Previous issues include our interior leather left dirty with grease/oil, and similar miscommunications as described above. We love our car and had a great experience with sales but we will be taking our Outback elsewhere for service. Update: I was called after this post and received more information. Turns out the amplifier was not replaced and we are to return when the part is delivered to the shop. Thank you for the call and clarification.
