      Terrible experience. They had me pay$550 for an appraisal on my credit card even though I wasn't even eligible. I wasn't eligibile due to forbearance. I had to wait 7 more months. Common knowledge. Found this out from another broker. By that time the appraisal was worthless. They didn't want to admit that it was a waste of $550. It cost me due to them not knowing fha rules. I was lied to and told otherwise. When I requested to be compensated for their incompetence. They promised to pay when i was eligible. Another lie they came back so high in their quote that there was no way to go with them. Would have cost me thousands more. So I'm out 550 due to their incompetence. Be warned.

      Appraisals paid out of pocket belong to the customer during purchase transactions, otherwise our customers are given the option to roll the appraisal into the closing costs if it suits their financial needs better. The reason for most of our clients paying for appraisal's upfront, is so that if one does not qualify the customer is able to use the appraisal with another company because it belongs to the customer. All fees paid to appraisers are up to their discretion and as a company we do not collect the proceeds.
