  We do not recommend this lender. We found out via email, 1 week before closing on our new property (new construction), that NFM was not able to get an appraisal in time for our closing date. Our contact, Sean Maloney, would not respond to calls or texts. Without an appraisal, we wouldn't be able to close, which impacted the sale of our previous home, movers, furniture delivery, the buyers, the buyers' contractors, etc. There was no consideration for the impact of their lack of preparedness. We ended up paying cash for the house instead. To this day, Sean has not reached out to apologize for his oversight. His boss did. But, he did not. Do not take a risk and use this lender.

  Sean and Joe were the best part about our experience at NFM Lending so I hate rating them so low, however the rest of our experience was horrid! The entire loan process was made significantly more stressful for the entire length of the loan process. I wouldn't say communication between us and our processor was bad, but whoever she worked with was terrible. Asking for documents literally one day before closing because she missed something, not knowing what our final closing costs would be until an hour before closing) causing a stressful situation getting a certified check at the bank last minute). Asking for documents one week before closing that are requested for every loan because, again, she missed it, and they were military documents that had to be requested from the government that has a slow turn-around... Seriously debated switching lenders last minute at the risk of losing our earnest check or home closure being delayed, because we didn't want to continue working with NFM. I would never recommend NFM lending to anyone.
