  These guys handled my closing for a refinance. I would never recommend them again. Since it was a refinance, it should've been easy - however these people actually never did what they say they would do. They called me on the phone regarding closing. I asked for the documents upfront so I can review it and have an idea of the overall docs PRIOR so we can shorten the face-to-face in regards to COVID. Never got that email. So okay handle everything the day of... no problem. Just very inefficient. Upon closing, I was given the option of waiting for a check or having the funds deposit it into my bank. I asked them specifically if it was a direct deposit because anything else would've incurred fees. I was told by my guy that it was and so I gave them a void check thinking it was easier. They sent it via WIRE. for those who don't know - wire is a very antiquated technology with very HIGH fees. $45 to send and $10-$20 for the receiver. A bank check / cashiers for reference is like $15-$25 (sometimes even waived) on average. In this day and age of VEMO, Paypal, Zelle, there is no reason for this type of transaction unless you are doing international transfer or some shady stuff... A bit of communication could've easily allow the agency to save money and therefore bringing more value to their own customers. Not interested. Not only was I lied to... they told me to accept the wire and they will make me whole on the fee. They never did, when I followed up they tried to say that they were clear and that it was my bank that was at fault. My bank have nothing to do with this... I knew their fee structure which is why I asked those questions. They glossed over their procedures and not really knowing their OWN PROCESS. Nor did they seem interested to seek out ways to deliver more value to their customer. Companies like this is a dime and a dozen... to find a good one that's consistently on top of the procedures, technology, etc. is what could've differentiated your business. The staff were not interested. No problem - I will just let everyone know of your incompetence and take my business elsewhere from here forward.

  Oceanview is patient and thorough. They are always available and answer phone calls/ emails promptly and efficiently to answer any and all questions- even after closing. Jennifer in particular has gone above and beyond in helping first time home buyers in this stressful process. Thank you all. Would 100% recommend.
