  This is hands down the best bank in yelm. I had to get a large sum of cash for a vehicle purchase, and although I'm a BECU member, they gladly helped me. This was after stopping by five other Banks and credit unions in yelm. What helped the most was the chance to call the actual branch and talk to a representative there instead of getting a corporate number like all the other branches in yelm

  My husband and I changed to Oly Fed a month ago, three accounts 1 personal, 1 for our 1 rental, and 1 for our small farm. Everything was great when we opened them the staff was nice, it really felt good. So I ordered checks and we set up all of our automatic payments, you know the mortgage , car payment, and the like. After a week or so we were notified that our farm account was a business and needed a business license. We checked with our CPA and confirmed that no the farm did NOT need a business license. But we did change the checks so they didn't have the farm name on them.. (ordered more checks) THEN, Thursday we got a call. Staff at the branch said that the compliance department can see that we are still doing business and THEY ARE CLOSING ALL OF OUR ACCOUNTS!! And accused my husband and I of laundering money and fraud.... SO, I went in and closed the accounts, they gave me cashiers checks. I went down the street to Timberland and opened the accounts. Timberland called Oly Fed to verify the cashiers checks, Oly Fed said they could NOT verify them, THE CHECKS I JUST GOT (So there would have to be a hold on our funds!) I said I would go back to Oly Fed and get cash then, it's my money and they told me to close the accounts. So I go back, and Jane says they don't have enough cash in the vault to cash even one of the checks and after some discussion agrees to call Timberland and verify the funds. What a nightmare!! Now we are ordering new checks, cancelling all of the auto payments we just spent days setting up UGH!! All because Oly Fed's compliance department has random rules that don't follow the law, and the bank staff is clueless. For the record my little farm sells beef by the half or whole that's it...

  I kept banking at my Lacey branch for years even when I moved to Yelm! So happy they came here!! I love everything about them ... the service , the consideration they have for community and that awesome green built building!
