WORST.BANK.EVER! Totally unhelpful when it comes to trying to conduct business as an authorized account user and power of attorney for a sick, elderly parent. I have followed every letter of the law yet they have fought me at every opportunity and even went so far as to tell me I would have to take my 84 year old mother out of the nursing home, bring her into the branch in her wheelchair (she is bedridden, wears a catheter, and is almost completely deaf) during a raging pandemic, to sign documents and make transactions. My mother banked with this bank for over 40 years, but there was no hint of customer loyalty! So much for customer service. Their website says: "Here at Peoples Bank, we're passionate about helping people," and "We strive to be exceptional," and "When you're passionate about people like we are, you go the extra mile to help another." NONE of this is true in my experience. They care nothing about their loyal, elderly customers. As some other reviewer said, they play the corporate game, but you can never talk to anyone at corporate. Peoples Bank NC has caused my family much unnecessary stress and hardship. I was finally able to close my mother's account and now have her money at a different bank which has been very helpful. If you're reading this review, I suggest you seek another bank or you'll be sorry. Shame on you, Peoples Bank!
