  We took out a reverse mortgage loan in 2020. It was one of the best financial decisions we have ever made. Our house payments gone, as are property taxes and insurance... for life. Not only that, we are using the reserve mortgage like a savings account and credit line account all rolled up into one account. The beauty of that is that those funds are free from the claims, attachments and levies of any an all creditors, including the IRS. Any and all money we pay against our mortgage is just that, a mortgage payment, which is a secured debt, which payments cannot be recalled or attached by anyone. AND when we want some money for any reason, the money falls out to us totally tax free...because it is borrowed funds and nobody pays income taxes on money they borrow. The icing on the cake is that the non-distributed money in our reverse mortgage grows tax free at a great interest rate... currently 4.25 times greater than the bank for highly liquid funds. I can even do reverse mortgage business online, just like we do with our bank accounts. And there is more, which Matt Allen can explain to you. Once Matt Allen, the man who wrote the book on Reverse mortgages, explained the amazing benefits and flexibilities of reverse mortgages, we jumped at the opportunity. This singular financial move has increased our monthly income 302% by allowing us to monetize and cash flow money that would otherwise be frozen equity in our home. Plus, the value of our home continues go grow unimpeded. We get money now, our kids get property appreciation later. This financial produce is so good, the government will eventually change the rules governing Reverse Mortgages. But we will be "grandfathered" in.
