  We had been dealing with a prior loan company for over a year and literally were pending a sale on a home (escrow paid ect) Sadly we figured out the other loan company was shady and dishonest.Our 5 children had already begun packing to move and we felt completely helpless. Tried calling our bank again they said no.. then our landlord recommended someone he knew.. that person was his co worker and Scott Eisgrau with Atlantic Coast Mortgage! Saved everything from the purchase of our home to saving our 5 kids from heartbreak we were not prepared for.. what parent is? We were suppose to close using the prior lender May 27th 2022 and Scott and his team were able to take over the purchase contract and we closed June 10th 2022. At every corner instead of no they offered solutions. Without them we wouldn't be sitting in our new home. Thank you so much we are so grateful for your hard work and dedication to our little tribe.

  Be very careful working with this guy. I decided not to proceed with getting a mortgage here because when I asked about why the closing costs were so high compared to the cost of the property, the response I got was "well you have the money so why does it matter?" If you don't have money to waste, like me, I'd suggest consulting with other lenders. When I told my realtor, who had referred this guy, what I was told, her response was "well maybe he was just having a bad day". This is not the type of experience I trust when money is on the line, especially not a real estate sized amount of money. I'm only posting this review to try to help other low income people avoid being taken advantage of simply because they are desperate to get a house for their family. He was timely in reply and definitely was willing to help me with a mortgage, but I believe greed may have briefly overtaken his decision making, combined with knowing I was a first time home buyer who was still learning how this works. However I had consulted with numerous other lenders over the course of a year trying to learn how this process works with similarly priced properties, so I knew I was being overpriced in closing costs by about $4k. As a blue collar working class person, that is a huge amount of money. If you get a mortgage here, do your research first and get a second opinion about his quotes. :(

  Although buying a home and finding the right lender can be scary and stressful. After talking with Scott, I knew who would help me out. Many thanks to my realtor as well, who referred him. Great communication whenever I had questions and concerns via text, phone or email. Overall, great to work with and will highly refer my family and friends. Thanks, Scott, for guiding me to my new home...woo hoo!!!
