I made the mistake of using them to refinance after a bad experience when buying my house originally. I thought it would be quick and easy. Unfortunately they lied about not needing my wife's signature which caused the closing to be delayed. Then they were trying to find a solution to my wife being out of town, which took a week with no communication from service first about what is going on. I am not even sure, since the problem was created by them, my wife's signature was not legally required, and the solution that they came up with was one that should have taken no more than 5 minutes, use an online notary. Then they had incorrect paperwork at closing and had to do a correction. And I just found out that something else is wrong, almost a week after closing and they need to do another correction with information that they never asked me for. Bottom line, if I went with a different company I would have completed it quite a bit faster, with less hassle and probably could have gotten a better rate.

After our first lender left us disappointed and hopeless, I'm glad our homebuilder referred us to Service First. With the Austin-area housing market skyrocketing, Jason Moreland and his team understood that we couldn't afford to not buy now. They really took care of us to make sure that we closed within 6 weeks of applying with them. Our initial call with Jason was while he was on his family vacation! Travis Arp and Jenny Parman kept constant communication with us and were very knowledgeable and responsive with our questions. Excellent custom service from start to finish!
