  After expressing dissatisfaction with this real estate team, the lead realtor, Dawn, firmly suggested I not “express or publish any defamatory statements [about her team] until [I] seek competent legal advice...”. Yikes! If this is how a business responds to the threat of public criticism, I recommend anyone considering the services of The Riley Team be hyper-critical of their reviews. The fact of the matter is that is that trusting this team may have been the biggest mistake of our lives. They recommended an inspector that missed several major defects with the property and to this day Dawn refuses to apologize, sympathize, or even acknowledge that the inspector they vouched for performed poorly. Hopefully they don’t recommend the same inspector to you! Even the title company they recommended dropped the ball. I almost didn’t close on time because they failed to prepare the paperwork correctly. We never even received our deed! Again, Dawn, the team leader refused to offer any apologies. Hopefully they don’t recommend the same title company to you! As a military family moving to Maryland from out of state, we really relied on the our Realtor to advocate for us, and make quality recommendations. The only reason we chose them is because someone from the team reached out to us and raved about the support they offer military families. In reality all of the recommendations were poor and getting them do simple things like flipping a light switch during a walkthrough was like pulling teeth.
