  I have always loved SunTrust and each of their locations, including this one, are always accommodating to all customers. The staff are always willing to help and they are always very safety conscious. Great place!

  One star is too generous.... They are refusing to allow me to close my account, which is in direct violation of federal law. Their response? Well, I don't know what to tell you, stop all the debits yourself. I went in on 11/17 to close my deceased mother's account, and two days later an ACH reopened the account, resulting in overdraft fees ON A CLOSED ACCOUNT. Went back to the bank, and their response was "we can't 'force' close it, I can put a request in to close it but I can't stop further transactions and fees from occurring, and I can't tell you when the account will actually close". As a joint owner of the account, it is against federal law to refuse to close an account, yet here we are. And to make matters worse? This morning, FOUR DAYS AFTER CLOSING MY ACCOUNT, they processed another transaction, which has resulted in $50 more in fees, and my account is STILL not closed. Stay far far away, there are way too many reputable banks to warrant being forced to do business with these folks. There's a reason they're on their third name in less than two calendar years...

  NEVER would I recommend! My kids and grandkids stuck in FL bc they put a 2 week hold on a deposited check ( whick they never did before). Now they are stuck there with NO MONEY, a 6 mo and a 3 yo. All the bank said "nothing we can do" . Makes NO sense to me!!!
