  I have been banking with UMPQUA since it was Sterling Bank. I have had nothing but a very positive experience and an exceptional relationship with this bank. I feel like I am always treated like royalty at this bank and they have constantly gone out of their way for me to make sure they have what I need. Hailey, Michelle, and Heather are amazing employees and are always so friendly and helpful. And of course, Rosie who has been the manager of this branch for decades, is absolutely a top-notch professional in everything she does. I am at this branch at least once or twice a week and plan to be as long as my place of employment is still open. You guys are the best! Jamey T. Collins (Sellberg's Tavern Inc.)

  Extremely unhappy with customer service, had to stand outside the locked front door for 20 minutes before someone would let me in. then the clerk was very disrespectful in telling me I could not cash a check a day early like I've done a thousand times, I understand the protocol but the tone was completely uncalled for.. especially when I had been sincere and understanding the whole time...

  Andrew, We’re very sorry to hear about the experience you had at the Vancouver, WA location while trying to cash a check that was one day earlier than the date written on the check. The disrespectful manner held when letting you know that teller would not cash the check for you is absolutely not okay. Ideally, we would like all your interactions with us to be a positive one, and back up our reputation as having excellent customer service. I only hope that the unpleasant encounter you had does not reflect on us as whole, as we strive to resolve any errors with urgency and handle every issue as if it were our own. I am truly sorry if you didn’t get the chance to experience that for yourself. We have submitted a formal complaint on your behalf, and we are sure that these kind of complaints are helping to combat the inappropriate behavior of the local tellers.
