  Summary: Wells seems to think that they’re the DMV and not a bank. Not sure if this is a general theme or branch specific theme. Showed up on a Thursday around 3:50pm to wire a large sum of money out of an investment account, ONLY because 1. The online ACH and wire limits are below what I wanted to transfer out and 2. I called them and apparently I needed to fax some form to be able to do this over the phone, and the fasted way to do this was in the branch. Having been spoiled by Chase, who treats their clients seriously, I didn’t think I needed an appointment to wire money out in a branch with 0 customers. Of course, I was wrong - after 10min of diddling between the teller and the banker, got told by the banker that she’s busy and that she’d be free on Tuesday noon - this is 3 business days later. I politely refused and walked out feeling like this is the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. The last time I wired money, both Chase and Wells (different branch in SF) handled it graciously without punting me. Suffice to say that I’ll be closing my account here and moving back to Schwab.
