      I am giving one star because it won't let me give zero stars. Ameris bank is absolutely useless and terrible. I was trying to change banks to them and made an external transfer of my balance. I was told after a week of not having access to ANY OF MY OWN MONEY that it would take two more weeks before they would make the funds available. So they have my money but won't allow me to access any of it because it's a new account and apparently they take three wees to process a transfer that has already occurred and is sitting in the account They won't even let me close and withdraw it. So basically Ameris bank is stealing my money. DO NOT USE THIS INSTITUTION. There are literally dozens of better options that are probably less interested in theft.
