      BB&T Mortgage is nothing short of a series of disappointment, mismanagement, lack of communication and bad information. It has been 5 months since I applied for refinance for my home and I am yet to have closing date. BBT was slow to respond to my calls or emails and asked me to increase the limits of my home insurance, which ended up being unnecessary and was an error on their part. Because of the excessive delays, BBT contacted my wife's employer 4-5 times to verify her employment status, which caused her HR department to question these repeated attempts. And if you think the incompetence is just a human factor, their website is another nightmare which apparently is designed to lock you out of your account with no rhyme or reason. This is the worst experience with any bank that is a reflection of how poorly it is being managed and handled. This is the last time I will ever do business with BBT/Truist and my wife will withdraw the money from her checking account and put it in Wells Fargo.
