  I just came from this branch and must say I did not have a good experience with the manager Sumeer...I had a check that was a stock payout I received from a company but for some reason Sumeer said he could not check it and when I told him that was strange and said perhaps he could call the account holder he cut me off and said no matter what there was absolutely nothing he could do...which I found strange because I have been similar situations with other banks and normally they say they must call the account holder to verify. He told me I should instead go to my bank and see if they can check but they cannot. I decided to take things in my own hands and call the treasurer of the company and she said what I was saying and said he should call her or another lady who should be listed on the account. He seemed to be more open to the idea and ended up doing that and found everything was good however I’m writing this because I am a young black business owner who does not dress in suits all the time and I got the feeling Sumeer was assuming this was a scam attempt which I understand because I’m sure they deal with that, however to be so subjective and dismissive made me feel he was being more prejudice than business oriented. After everything went through I asked him why he didn’t give me the option of even calling to verify instead of dismissing me and he got around that and instead ended with saying as a banker if he does not feel comfortable doing the transaction he does not have to. Which I guess is a fair statement but I just did not like the suspicious demeanor he presented early, it made me feel like a criminal. Sad part of this is I wanted to open an account and even with that he asked me why I wanted to open an account with them if I already had one with Wells Fargo, I thought that question was even more proof of his prejudice idea towards me.
