      Tom Lynch at Gateway Mortgage saved me when my original mortgage lender could not get the job done. I thought i was going to lose the house and my deposit.       In my opinion, Gateway did some shady things regarding my loan. First, they told me when I accepted a higher rate, I would get a certain "bonus" amount back (I knew I was going to refi right away and so I agreed). However, this amount became substantially less a day or two prior to closing because of some reasons that didn't seem perfectly right. My mortgage lender agreed to pay my moving costs when the closing went into extra innings and couldn't close on time - and I'm still waiting after 2 months. I would definitely not recommend them.
