  2nd Loan with this group lead by Cameron Owens. Same problem on both loans. Nice people but they have very bad customer service, lack of communication. They do not communicate to their customer what is going on. When you call, email or message the whole team, they do not respond. You have to show up in person at their office for them to communicate the status of your loan. I reccommended my 78 year old mother to Cameron at Loan Depot to refinance / cash out so she could retire. The process was much longer than expected but that is the norm for all loans now. The part that I have a problem with is the complete lack of communication. Both my mother and myself had been trying to contact LoanDepot at Cameron Owens office for over two weeks. The last communication my mother had was in August 29, and it was to make her August loan payment that was very late now. Cameron told my mother and myself not to pay this as it would close by Sept 1st for sure. Anyway, I made her make the payment mid August to be safe, sure enough I was right. They contacted my mom and said that docs were submitted and should be ready to sign on Sept 1st. No email with instructions, no nothing on who will be contacting you on the next step, nothing. My mom sent emails and messages to contact her on the LoanDepot customer portal, but nothing. Finally 2 weeks later I tried calling emailing to find out what was going on, but no answers. So I decided to drive down to their office to see if I could speak with them in person. Sure enough there is Cameron saying "Oh papers were submitted to escrow on Friday and they are ready to close." That would have been nice if someone sent a email or called about the status of this loan, especially since we have been trying to contact them for some time. Being Nice is only have of the deal. People expect to be treated like they matter. My mother matters to me, and I wish she was treated the way they would treat their own mothers. Especially since I recommended her to their group.
