  I’ve had only positive experiences with MACU, including especially good auto rates, but want to give special praise to Arielle from the Eagle Branch. I came in with a unique situation from attempting to do an online transfer from another institution to payoff an auto loan at MACU. Despite being new enough not to have her own cards and getting less that complete info from help line, she persevered, asked the right questions, identified the best solution, completed my request quickly, acknowledged other clients as they arrived, and even provided me details on another product. I’m a retired banker, so I know a good one when I see one, so ask for Arielle in Eagle.

  I closed my account with MACU. My rent check was returned as non-sufficient funds instead of closed account. As a result I was charged a fee by my apartment management & they will no longer accept checks from me. I stopped in at MACU yesterday to point out the error and they said non-sufficient and closed account were the same. Huge difference but three of the employees disagreed with me. Do you think non sufficient funds and closed account are the same?

  The credit union needs to change there policies on their phone system and the folks at their call center are not trained well. As a former business owner and a service connect retired veteran, this is a quick way to lose customers as it is very tedious to contact the branch. I have several loans and accounts with them, and may switch to another credit union if this issue is not addressed. Mike M
