      We received your complaint. Thank you. We will review your complaint. Depending on what we find, we will typically: Send your complaint to the company for a response; or Send your complaint to another state or federal agency, or help you get in touch with your state or local consumer protection office; or Let you know if we need more information to continue our work. YOUR COMPLAINT I overpaid my May 2019 mortgage payment. I made two May 2019, mortgage payments; $751.17 received and posted by Provident Funding on 5/6/2019 and $800 received and posted by Provident Funding on 5/3/2019, both payments made via (The Clearing House), ACH. I requested in writing on May 7, 2019, to Provident Funding a return of one over- payment. Provident Funding refused to return my over-payment until I submitted verification that both payments cleared my bank and further, that I had a positive balance in my bank account. It was only after repeated request to return my over-payment and after holding my posted and cleared funds for 10 days, did I get a communication from Provident Funding that my over-payment would be returned. I also asked Provident Funding to transfer my account to another mortgage service provider. They denied my request. I no longer have confidence in Provident Funding to be a creditable or fair mortgage serving provider and wish to be associated with a more reputable financial institution.
