  I tried to call the main number on the website to speak to a manager and it goes to the national automated system and have no way of reaching anyone.

  I was very very disappointed with South State Bank. I received a $1800 Lost Wage Assistant check from unemployment and it was stolen buy their client(My roommate). What I found to be so appalling is how my check for $1,800 was cashed by somebody else. I guess if you're a regular customer you don't have to do a fingerprint or two forms of ID or even have a teller look at the name on the check. Furthermore this check was cashed on November 6th but I canceled the check out on October 15th. How can this have taken place? PURE INCOMPETENCE, especially knowing that this gentleman sign his name and then wrote my client ID number on the check. I think I'm going to move to the Lowcountry because South State Bank will just cash any check without ID or looking at the person who is signing the check. The sad part about this story is that I went through 3 evictions. I won the first 2 but not the last one and this is why I am homeless today. Thank you South State Bank for ruining my life.

  South state will NOT answer their phone!!! They wont accept coins unless rolled!!! I am an account holder and the coins are legal US currency!! How is that legal!??
