  Yesterday, I drove 7 hours to a car dealership to pick up a truck and my financing wasn’t as set in stone as I had thought. I called summit and they bent over backwards for me to get a loan the same day so I didn’t have to make the drive a second time. I wasn’t even a current customer of theirs. It was unreal. Big thanks to Shae L., Angela H., and Megan O.!!! I tend to despise bankers, but when society crumbles and turns on the bankers in an act of retribution; I’ll tell everyone to leave the good people at Summit alone. They saved my a** yesterday and I can’t accurately put into words how much I appreciate it.

  Has taken them over a week to process my credit card application. Phone wait time is forever. They insist on doing everything by phone in the middle of the workday. There is no communication between employees other than what the customer provides. Their technology is from a decade ago. Insist on doing things "the old fashioned way" even when their customers are 23 y/o. A dinosaur that'll go down with the rest of the small banks over the next decade of innovation. Would not apply here again for any other account.

  I have been with Summit Credit Union for over 5 years and never had any issues with this bank whatsoever. As of late though, Summit hasn’t been what’s it supposed to be or what it markets itself to be at least. It’s also very concerning that they encourage you to take out loans for overdraft protection, and also charge you ridiculous amounts of money for charges that come out of your account later than they should. It’s also very concerning that this bank is seeming all for financial literacy amongst younger people yet, taking advantage of younger people at the same time… hence why there’s summit credit unions posted all over madison high schools now lol. Go to another bank if you can. Update: don’t expect to get actual help for what you really need. Customer service representatives are very nonchalant and kind of rude. I do understand the impact of the pandemic, and how that plays a huge part in why companies are declining, but yo I’ve been on the phone for 40 minutes and haven’t received any help whatsoever besides someone giving me the same number I’ve been calling for the past hour. Seemingly everything that happens to your account is your issue, and it’s a huge inconvenience someone had to help you fix the issue. lol ridiculous.
