      We are equidistant between two Schwab offices. I am not thrilled that the Thousand Oaks office is on its fourth location since my mother moved into this area. Today I did everything right. All we needed to do was deposit a check. I called them and double checked their hours. The taped voice said they were open from 8:30 to 5:00. No people picked up to confirm those hours. It lied. They decided to close at 2:00, so showing up at 2:30 meant we'd wasted a long drive and will have to repeat it next week (Oxnard does not take checks). And they decided not to change the message. I can tolerate one but not both. I've had enough of this branch. It will be worth it to me to skip by them and drive farther east to where the branches will be open if they say they are open.

      Not that good. I wanted to start my relationship with Schwab with a $50,000 investment. Your rep made it clear, he would not work with me unless I invested no less than $250,000. He referred me to a webpage which I found insulting. I will continue to work with UBS. No longer interested in Charles Schwab.
